Fluence’s Red Sandwich strategy is the result of five years of disciplined research into light intensity, spectrum, and distribution. By applying high-red spectrum light to both the top and bottom of the canopy simultaneously, growers can achieve system efficacy of 3.4 µmol/J — compared to roughly 2.7 µmol/J for standard white LED top-lighting systems.
The result: higher yields, better bud uniformity, and the elimination of photobleaching, without added complexity or energy demand.
