CAMP Cannabis grew from a simple but profound idea: “Cannabis is more than a plant; it’s a culture.” The story of Missouri’s first and only women-owned cannabis company is rooted in humanity, community, and medicine.

CAMP was co-founded by Jennifer McGuire, who came from a medical background and has witnessed the pain and devastation caused by opiates. With her colleague, she started CAMP (Certified Alternative Medicine Providers) Cannabis to curb opiate abuse by providing a healthy alternative—safe, high-quality cannabis driven by science and medicine. While CAMP Cannabis has become a recreational brand due to its quality and popularity, their approach remains rooted in medicine.

With 50 employees and 5,000 square feet of canopy space, CAMP Cannabis is proof that small footprints can produce major impacts. They balance craft strains between “tried-and-true” older genetics and newer “hype strains,” such as Blockberry and Watermelon Z. Notably, they serve as the exclusive cultivator of Cookies genetics in Missouri. Every cultivar is carefully and meticulously grown with the goal to provide “Small-Batch, Always Craft.” Their relatively small operation provides the unique benefit of ultimate quality control, wherein each plant receives full attention–optimal lighting, HVAC, and myriad other inputs. From seed to consumption, CAMP Cannabis patients and recreationalists can both see and feel the immense craft, relief, and love in every product.

Quality Over Quantity

Cannabis sativa is far more than an ancient plant with immense healing properties. CAMP Cannabis has tapped ideas that our ancestors understood long ago: cannabis brings communities together, fosters deeper connections to people and ideas, and enhances overall quality of life with meaningful pauses. Indeed, quality continues to inform each decision from founding and finding genetics to growing cultures and communities in Missouri. CAMP’s propagation team expertly roots cuttings in rockwool plugs and has a data driven method for irrigation and environmental controls. They specialize in unique strain or cultivar selection that highlights new, upcoming genetics and ones rooted in nostalgia and quality.

Limitations force creativity. This truth applies to space shuttle engineers, poets, and cultivators alike. With 5,000 sq. ft. of canopy space, CAMP Cannabis is designed for quality, efficiency, and cleanliness. In propagation, pruning and watering regimens keep plants short and manageable. Fluence SPYDR 2x LEDs optimize the low ceiling space. This style of compact configuration would be impossible with HID fixtures, and extremely dangerous. In their flower rooms, Fluence VYPR 2p LEDs provide an average 1,000 µmol light intensity and, furthermore, enable photo acclimation (the ability to dim lights or ramp up intensity) for optimal growth and expression. CAMP Cannabis is another prime example that the best gifts under the tree are wrapped in the smallest boxes.

One Giant Leap

CAMP Cannabis has become a trusted brand in a short time. Their emphasis on high quality, small-batch flower at affordable prices, coupled with community outreach and educational programs, has positioned them as a special brand for St. Louis. They are making a difference by re-establishing cultural roots across Missouri and by providing healthy, alternative solutions for those seeking relief or escape. In short, CAMP Cannabis cares.

Their skilled team has remained loyal and happy in an industry where turnover is high. Their plants are equally happy with high-quality lighting, data-driven cultivation techniques. Fluence LEDs have improved propagation success rates (3-4 days faster rooting), allowing for consistent 63-day flowering cycles with two-week harvesting integrals. Most importantly, customers and patients love the CAMP Cannabis brand because they know that CAMP has quality craft flower and products made with care and attention to detail.
