12 Nov State of the Lighting Industry Report Indicates Strong Shift in Perception Around LED Technology
2018 has been a busy year for the controlled environment agriculture (CEA) industry. Vertical farms have continued to gain prominence in mainstream media. The cannabis industry has seen a phenomenal year in terms of business growth as well as international and state-wide policy acceptance. Fluence is proud to be a part of this momentum and evolution in the agriculture industry.
As the agriculture industry changes, so must the companies which look to support it. This is why we are proud to continue to partner with Cannabis Business Times to produce the State of the Lighting Industry Report and analyze what trends are affecting how indoor agriculture is done.
This year’s report is particularly exciting as it shows how massively perception around LED technology has changed in just three years. Compared to three years ago, adoption of LED technology has exploded and is rapidly becoming one of the top choices for every stage of cultivation.
It’s incredibly gratifying to see how understanding around LED technology has improved and adoption of LED technology has seen double-digit gains across propagation, vegetation and flower. While LEDs are not the top choice across the board just yet, we are positive the tipping point is right around the corner.
You can pick up a copy of the November issue of Cannabis Business Times to see the full findings in the special report insert. Additionally, you will find tips from experts across the U.S. and Canada on how to conduct your own lighting trial, get the most out of utility incentives for LEDs, and understand what makes for an energy efficient and effective horticulture light.
You can also pick up a copy of the report for free at our booth this week at MJ Biz Con Vegas. Come by and visit Fluence at Booth #2131 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center to say hi or learn more about how our agriculture partners are using LED technology.
